The designer tableware of the Daydream series, created by Nynke Tynagel for Buro Berger, is inspired by nostalgic, old-fashioned plates and paper napkins – the kind of motifs Nynke envisioned while daydreaming. These contemporary plates play with graphic shapes and silhouettes to create optical illusions that delight the eye. The colourful designs combine vintage charm with modern graphic aesthetics.

Thanks to their generous size, the plates also work beautifully as serving trays for snacks and treats. When paired with other patterns from the collection, they bring colour and vibrancy to any table setting or buffet arrangement.

The Plate Daydream series consists of six designs:

About Nynke Tynagel

 

Graphic artist Nynke Tynagel graduated from the Eindhoven Design Academy. Her bold, expressive and iconographic imagery, both heraldic and pop cartoonish, projects a strong narrative quality. Her work has been exhibited and collected by numerous museums, including MOMA, China Museum of Design, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Centraal Museum, TextielMuseum, and Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam.

Nynke designed the Daydream-series for Buro Berger, a sub-label of &klevering. This Dutch, Amsterdam-based brand is renowned for its modern and imaginative home accessories. The label offers a wide selection of decorative objects, tableware, and textiles that bring distinctive character and charm to any interior.
