The work of Roni Horn (born 1955), part of the Voorlinden collection, consists of five large cylindrical glass forms. Each element weighs a staggering 4,500 kg and despite this immense weight, the sculptures exude a certain lightness. Identity and the elusive mutability of identity underlie all of Horn's works. Something can be this and that simultaneously, be here and there. In the here and now, and also occur at another time.
