Light your candles in style with these special matches. The box features C55, a photo of a cigar, made by Paul Kooiker. This photo is part of the exhibition Nude Animal Cigar (2014), which is now on display at Voorlinden.
The photo series consists of 63 nudes, 63 animals and 63 cigars – with each photo edited with a different sepia filter. This creates an analogue feel, despite the fact that the photos were taken digitally.
Nude Animal Cigar (2014) marked a turning point in Kooiker's oeuvre and introduced a new form of playfulness that is still characteristic of his work today.
